The Brainerd Lakes Race for the Cure® scheduled for Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Forestview Middle School in Baxter, MN. Up to seventy-five percent of the net funds we raise in Brainerd stay in our community and are dedicated to programs that meet the breast health needs of the medically underserved. These needs are determined by a comprehensive, independently performed needs assessment. A minimum of 25 percent of the net proceeds from the Brainerd Lakes Race for the Cure® supports directly the highly regarded the Susan G. Komen Research and Awards Program which, for the past 25 years, has provided much-needed funding for breast cancer education, outreach, screening and treatment. |
